F40 is a case study of Petersen Architekten's Friedrichstrasse 40, an infill office building in Berlin, Germany. The project analyzes the performative relationship between exterior facade and interior space through a dissection of the structure via the unit of its primary facade element, a vertical louver system.

By diagramming the facades in tandem with the interior space, three distinct typologies emerge, each with a unique set of exterior designs and interior programming.
